One more year, we will enjoy the popular chestnut festival in Viladrau, where we will have the opportunity to participate in a chestnut making workshop; enjoy a nice and pleasant walk around the village; and discover the exciting world of “bolets” (mushrooms).

– VILADRAU

Viladrau, located in the heart of the Montseny Natural Park, is one of the villages with the most stately houses in Catalonia. And the best way to enjoy it is through chestnuts -the best in Catalonia- and mushrooms, which are the typical products of Montseny in autumn.

– CHESTNUTS ELABORATION WORKSHOP

To celebrate our particular chestnut festival, we will participate in a chestnut elaboration workshop at the Chestnut Manipulation Center of Viladrau, a company dedicated exclusively to the collection of chestnuts and the elaboration of products related to this fruit. The workshop includes a tasting of previously roasted chestnuts and some of the products made by the company.

THE PLAN:

– 8.30h: We meet at Plaça Universitat (at the main entrance of the University of Barcelona) to catch our private bus

– 11h: Arrival in Viladrau (during the journey we will stop at a roadside bar to have breakfast)

– 11h-13h: Chestnut elaboration workshop and tasting

– 13.30-15.30h: Free time to eat in Viladrau (if you want to eat in a restaurant, it is advisable to book in advance)

– 15.30-17.30h: Circular walk to the “Castanyer de les 9 branques”

– 17.30h: Return coach, arriving in Barcelona between 7 and 7:30 p.m.

Para tener más espacio durante el trayecto, vamos en autocar de 60 plazas para un máximo de 40 personas.

Si la previsión meteorológica es mala o la situación generada por el Covid19 nos lo impide, se aplazará la excursión.
