DATES: April 2 and 3, 2022

The Matarraña region, in Teruel, is one of those regions that brings together all the elements that we usually associate with bucolic country life: tranquility, gentle hills, flocks of sheep, the smell of grass, olive trees, vineyards, charming medieval villages, rivers crystal clear waters, good homemade food…

And to get the most out of our stay in the Matarraña region, we have designed a pleasant and relaxed program that will allow us to visit and enjoy beautiful Valderrobres (Vall-de-Roures), the capital: in the narrow streets and slopes of its charming old town, which overlooks the river that gives its name to the region, stands monumental wonders such as the castle, the church of Santa María la Mayor or the Town Hall, reproduced in the Poble Espanyol in Barcelona; La Fresneda (Freixneda), a beautiful monumental complex and one of the most harmonious and beautiful architectural complexes in all of Aragon; Calaceite (Calaceit), the Cadaqués of “terra endins”, is another beautiful urban complex and refuge for artists and writers, with beautiful streets, stately buildings, porticoed square, Renaissance facades, Baroque church; Cretas (Cretes), which, like most towns in Matarraña, retains that medieval and Renaissance air that immediately takes you back in time; Beceite (Beseit), at the foot of the port of Beceite, houses a large historic center of Arab origin that was declared an Asset of Cultural Interest by the Government of Aragon and where its Plaza Mayor, the Portales of the town hall house, stand out above all. the Portal de la calle Llanacuenta, the portal-hermitage of San Roque, the hermitage of Santa Ana or the portico of Villanueva among others.
